THE CAULDRONS OF THE UNIVERSE

The life cycle of stars

Stars are the cauldrons in which all the atoms of the universe are formed. Throughout their entire life, stars radiate not only one light, but the many different lights from the softest and coldest when they are born, to the cataclysmic radiations that supernovae and black holes can unleash.

Space astronomy reveals the life and death of stars by capturing the wavelengths of the entire spectrum of light, which this presentation will cover from the softest to the most violent, starting from the birth of the Universe till the dramatic end of the stars, and the mysterious black holes nestled in the heart of our galaxies.
